PITTSBURGH ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENTS

Community Acupuncture

with Kai Pang

What is Community Acupuncture?

Community Acupuncture offers a few distinct benefits. It takes place in a group setting, is financially accessible for more people, and allows for more appointment slots during the day.

Private sessions, although preferable for treating certain conditions, can bring a cost barrier to many people. The benefits of acupuncture treatments are cumulative, which means that multiple sessions are often necessary to achieve the best results. Community Acupuncture can be a stand-alone approach to treating many ailments, or can be taken as a supportive treatment alongside private sessions. (more information here)

Kai Pang offers community acupuncture every

Sunday between 10 - 2:30 and Thursday from 2 - 7:30.

Treatments begin every 20 minutes and last about 50 minutes.

Book online, or walk-in (preference given to those who book online)

How Does Community Acupuncture Work?

After taking a seat in one of our zero-gravity loungers, you and your acupuncturist will have brief discussion about your treatment goals.  You'll be asked to roll up your shirt to your elbows and pant legs to the knees. The treatment will be tailored to you, using hair-thin needles, and based on some of the most powerful acupuncture points on the arms, legs, ears, face and scalp.

Please arrive wearing flexible and loose clothing so that you can receive treatment at the elbow and knee level.

Expect to feel deeply relaxed while you rest for 25-40 minutes with ambient music in a cozy atmosphere.

Is Community Acupuncture for me?

Consider supplementing your Community Treatments with a Private Acupuncture Treatment. Your first private treatment will last for 90 minutes and can build off the work achieved in the community sessions.

Other reasons for booking a private treatment:

  • Not comfortable with treatment in a communal setting

  • I have multiple problems that need to be addressed.

  • I have many questions and would like more one-on-one time with the acupuncturist.

  • My problem is located on the back side of my body, and I feel that it will only get better with direct treatment to that location.

  • Due to chronic pain or other issues I am unable to sit for the whole time.

  • I am interested in Labor Induction, Cosmetic Acupuncture or Electroacupuncture.

  • I have had private acupuncture treatments in the past and responded well to them.
